Next, we compared the potency of anti-tumor activity mediated by CD4, CD8 and DN T cells expanded from the same donor in in vitro killing assays against the two cell lines and found that while all expanded T cell subsets showed cytotoxicity towards lung cancer cell lines, DNT cells induced the highest degree of cytotoxicity (Additional file 2: Figure S2A). The gene discussed is CD4; the disease is lung carcinoma.
