The proportion of patients using a statin, angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ACE) inhibitor/angiotensin-converting-enzyme (ARB), calcium channel blocker (CCB), or anti-platelet/anti-coagulant was significantly lower in the group with CAN recovery than in the group without, whereas the proportion of patients using insulin, an oral anti-diabetes drug, or a beta blocker did not differ between the two groups. This evidence concerns the gene ACE and diabetes mellitus.
