INS and diabetes mellitus: Compared with the serum insulin level (13.05 ± 0.95 mU/L) of the mice in the DM group, pumpkin polysaccharides or puerarin administration led to a significant decrease (8.37 ± 0.75 and 8.03 ± 0.66 mU/L, respectively) in the serum insulin level, and the effect on the combined group was greater.
