On the one hand, Busquets-Garcia and colleagues [92] probed for changes in eCB signaling as a result of mGluR5 activation [94] in the CA1 region of the hippocampus in FMR1 mouse model of FXS and reported that CB1 receptor blockade in male FMR1 KO mice normalized cognitive impairment, nociceptive desensitization, susceptibility to audiogenic seizures, overactivation mTOR signaling and altered spine morphology.
