IRF8 and plasma cell myeloma: These findings together with our previous identification of rs4487645 at 7p15.3, as a modulator of IRF4 binding at an enhancer element of the c-Myc-interacting gene CDCA7L in multiple myeloma25–27, support the role of the genetic variants in IRF8 and its interacting partner in GNAQ in multiple myeloma susceptibility.
