Our previous findings demonstrated that GATA2 and KLF1 displayed enhanced levels in transcription after CBFβ-MYH11 knockdown11, and the present work could confirm not only increased RNA expression, but also stronger binding to the RUNX1 containing oligo by western blot (Supplementary Figure 6A, B), suggesting that the two TFs are repressed and might be replaced by CBFβ-MYH11 fusion in inv(16) AML. Here, CBFB is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
