BPIFB1 and prostate cancer: For MEPE, there were researches revealing its involvement with osteosarcoma [22–24]; for BPIFB1, it has been reported that it could inhibit radioresistance in nasopharyngeal carcinoma [25, 26]; for HBA2, previous studies have identified different expression levels in the bone marrow of prostate cancer patients [27]; and for SERPINB3, it has been identified as mediators of Ras-driven inflammation and oncogenesis [28].
