In patients with immune thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), GCs induced an increase in the FoxP3+ Treg subset (more than two-fold) following four days of high-dose dexamethasone administration, and in the CD25+CD127− Treg subset (less than two-fold), at day 14 [138,139]. This evidence concerns the gene IL7R and autoimmune thrombocytopenic purpura.
