MKI67 and neoplasm: Akhan et al. (2005), observed prolonged survival among patients with low Ki-67 expression (p = 0.034) [72], which is consistent with the findings of Mayerhofer et al. (2004), who demonstrated that rapid tumor growth and shortened disease-free survival are associated with high Ki-67 expression, which is correlated with involvement of the vascular space [68,73].
