Overall, we conclude that presence of HPV-16 correlates with elevated levels of FAM83H-AS1 expression in early stages of cervical carcinogenesis (newly immortalized JAMM-16 cells and cervical low-grade pre-malignant cell lines) as well as cervical cancer and HNSCC cell lines. The gene discussed is SACK1H; the disease is head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.
