One key downstream signal of TRPA1 in migraine may involve CGRP as previously studies reported that TRPA1 activation mediates ROS-induced CGRP release in the rat trigeminal ganglion [10] and in the dura mater [22]; whilst exogenous CGRP is able to reverse the inhibitory action on CSD under TRPA1 deactivation in vitro [5]. This evidence concerns the gene TRPA1 and migraine disorder.
