Recently, Björklund et al. reported that highly purified haploidentical allogeneic NK cells activated by IL-2 elicited complete remission against patients with chemotherapy-refractory or relapsed high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS), secondary AML (MDS/AML), and de novo AML [40], implying that highly purified allogeneic NK cell-based immunotherapy would be safe and might provide a novel strategy for allogeneic NK cell-based immunotherapy for human GBM. Here, IL2 is linked to acute myeloid leukemia.
