ALB and acute kidney injury: In another study that investigated the risk factors of NSAID-induced acute kidney injury (AKI) among patients with hyperuricaemia, it was shown that the mean age of those developing AKI was significantly higher (p=0.008), while the baseline GFR (p=0.001), serum albumin level (p < 0.0001), and serum haemoglobin level (p < 0.0001) were significantly lower in this group of patients.
