Here we examined: (1) whether EAT mitochondrial respiratory capacity was lowered in CAD patients, (2) whether lowered EAT mitochondrial respiratory capacity was associated with protein levels of adiponectin in the EAT and severity of coronary artery stenosis, and (3) whether protein levels of adiponectin in the EAT was associated with severity of coronary artery stenosis.
