To investigate the underlying mechanisms of mutant KRAS target drugs resistance and the regulation of YAP by MEK translocation, most experiments were performed in the KRAS mutant colon cell lines SW1116 and SW480 and in the KRAS mutant breast cancer cell line MDA-MB-231 with a homozygous mutation in NF2 (also known as merlin), which, thus was in a Hippo/LATS-off condition at baseline [19]. The gene discussed is NF2; the disease is breast carcinoma.
