This enzyme is an important regulator of the cell cycle [32], and KMT5A expression is elevated in different types of cancer tissues and cancer cell lines, including those of bladder cancer, non-small cell and small cell lung carcinoma, chronic myelogenous leukemia, hepatocellular carcinoma, papillary thyroid cancer, and pancreatic cancer [33,34]. This evidence concerns the gene KMT5A and thyroid gland papillary carcinoma.
