CDK6 and cervical cancer: Remarkably, rs8179, rs42032, and rs42033 are mapped to the 3'UTR of CDK6. Considering the regulatory roles of 3'UTR and multiple predicted functions of the promising SNPs in this work, we speculated that the significant variants rs8179, rs42032, and rs42033 were involved in the mediation of the 3' end of CDK6 mRNA, by which the variations may disturb the normal regulation of the functional region and lead to the different susceptibility to cervical cancer development.
