CSF1 and neoplasm: Based on these targets, pexidartinib may inhibit tumor growth directly by blocking the oncogenic drivers colony-stimulating factor 1 (CSF1), tyrosine protein kinase KIT (c-KIT), and FMS-like tyrosine kinase 3 (FLT3) [3–6], or indirectly by modulating the tumor microenvironment and affecting interactions between stromal and tumor cells [7–9].
