MAPT and Parkinson disease: We identified many known PD genes, such as MAPT, the microtubule-associated protein tau (chr17:44049311:44055741; p = 2.60 × 10−24, Fig. 3b) and SNCA (chr4:90756843:90757894; p = 1.70 × 10−16) that were associated with PD through RNA splicing.
