Obesity is commonly associated with increased production of adipokines, which induce insulin resistance and lipid disorders, such as tumor necrosis factor alfa (TNFα), resistin, and chemerin [3,4,5,6,7], and reduction of secretion of adipose tissue hormones with favorable effects on lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, such as adiponectin and omentin [8,9,10]. This evidence concerns the gene TNF and obesity disorder.
