Following our genotypic analysis, HKII expression at the mRNA and protein level in NHL (SU-DHL-4, Raji, Mino, Toledo), breast cancer (MDA-MB-231), and melanoma (MDA-MB-435) cell lines was assessed to determine the potential functional link between MIR143 regulation by a promoter polymorphism and HKII target gene expression in these cells, along with lymphocytes from two healthy control subjects. This evidence concerns the gene MIR143 and breast cancer.
