Thus, we evaluated associations between six novel markers (E-Selectin, P-Selectin, thrombomodulin, thrombopoietin, intercellular adhesion molecule 3 and GPIIb/IIIa) and established cardiovascular risk factors as well as the risk of myocardial infarction (MI) in a population-based study.
