We then wondered whether integrin αvβ3 actions on lymphoma cells could be therapeutically capitalized for the treatment of TCL patients; and considering that PTCL-NOS is the most frequent subtype, we developed a xenograft model of human PTCL-NOS cells into SCID mice and evaluated the action of the selective inhibitor of integrin αvβ3 cilengitide. The gene discussed is NOS2; the disease is mature T-cell and NK-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma.
