To understand the pathogenesis and immune response to AB14 (H5N1) and BC15 (H7N9) viral infection, we assessed the innate immune receptor RIG-I, as well as the cytokine and chemokine gene expression in the lungs and brains of mice infected with the lowest dose (103 PFU) of both strain isolates by qRT-PCR.
