LEP and obesity due to melanocortin 4 receptor deficiency: The Adpn/Lep ratio was significantly lower in individuals with obesity (Lean: 2.00 ± 1.98; Obese: 0.26 ± 0.19; p < 0.001) as can be observed in Figure 1A. Taking into account only the lean subjects, the Adpn/Lep ratio was significantly decreased in individuals with high adiposity (low adiposity, n = 42: 2.54 ± 2.43; high adiposity, n = 41: 1.47 ± 1.18; p = 0.012, Figure S1).
