To demonstrate that extratumorally expanded T and NK cells can infiltrate the irradiated tumor, we adoptively transferred CD8 T cells and NK cells (6 × 106 and 9 × 106, respectively) pooled from lymph nodes, blood, and spleen of hRT/IL-2c-treated tumor-bearing mice into recipient mice, which were also treated with hRT + IL-2c.
