The present work investigated the association of immune response gene polymorphisms (TNF-308A>G, IL-6-174G>C, IL-8-251A>T, IL-10-1082G>A, and CRP-717T>C) and gene expression levels (mRNA and plasma levels) in patients with coronary disease associated with previous C. pneumoniae and C. trachomatis infections. Here, CXCL8 is linked to coronary artery disorder.
