PARP‐1 contains three zinc‐binding (Zn) domains in its N‐terminus, a breast cancer one protein C‐terminal (BRCT) domain, and a tryptophan‐, glycine‐, arginine‐rich (WGR) domain at its centre, as well as a C‐terminal catalytic domain (Altmeyer et al, 2009; Langelier et al, 2012). This evidence concerns the gene PARP1 and breast cancer.
