Similar results were observed in different studies (Klaes et al., 2001; W Feng et al., 2007; Izadi Mood et al., 2012; Sarma et al., 2017) in which they also reported that there is a decreased p16 overexpression in invasive cervical cancer in comparison to high grade cervical pre-neoplastic lesions. This evidence concerns the gene CDKN2A and cervical cancer.
