Interestingly, HNRNPD knockout increased cell sensitivity to both CPT and the PARP1 inhibitor olaparib, as occurs with loss of other proteins involved in HR such as BRCA1/2–/– cells (75), providing the framework for a possible use of HNRNPD modulation to sensitize cancer cells to widely used antitumoral agents. This evidence concerns the gene HNRNPD and cancer.
