DTX induced caspase-3-dependent apoptosis was previously described in human prostate cancer cell line [36], human oral squamous cell carcinoma cell lines [37], breast and ovary carcinoma cells [38], but to the best of our knowledge, this is the first time that direct action of DTX on H9c2 cells is associated with increased caspase-3 activity and increased cell death. The gene discussed is CASP3; the disease is Familial prostate cancer.
