PAX5 and melanoma: In our study, PAX5 gene was found methylated in primary malignant melanoma tumor tissues for the first time. PAX5 gene could also be used as a potential biomarker in our in vitro tissue culture systems to measure the effects of methylation inhibitors when malignant melanoma tissues are treated with methylation inhibitors such as 5-azacytidine and 5-azadeoxycytidine.
