A link between protein acetylation and phosphorylation to deficiencies in homologous recombination was identified in ovarian cancer patients.35 Since homologous recombination deficiency is associated with susceptibility to PARP inhibitors and improved survival, this suggests a potential patient stratification for therapies.105, 106 Large number of kinases, such as ribosomal protein S6 kinase alpha‐5 (RPS6KA5) and eIF‐2‐alpha kinase GCN2 (EIF2AK4) were also identified, which are affected by common PIK3CA mutations. Here, EIF2AK4 is linked to ovarian carcinoma.
