To better analyze the range of malignant transformation achieved by the OMCs, the pathologist performed the same immunohistochemistry panel that is commonly used in cases of cancers of unknown origin (Supplementary Table S1), and stains for the following markers were completed for all twenty patients: CK7, CK20, AE1AE3, CK19, vimentin, CDX2, CK34BE12, Hep-Par1, TTF1, P63, CD45, HMB45 (Tables 2 and 3, Figs 2 and 3). The gene discussed is PTPRC; the disease is cancer.
