We found that the AKT/mTOR pathway was involved in microglia autophagy inhibition that induced by plasma exosomes from PD patients, consistent with the study that activation of TLR2 resulted in the accumulation of a-syn aggregates in neurons as a result of inhibition of autophagic activity through regulation of the AKT/mTOR pathway67. This evidence concerns the gene TLR2 and Parkinson disease.
