For gastric cancer, Song et al. (17) demonstrated that kaempferol suppressed the proliferation of human gastric cancer MKN28 and SGC7901 cells, as well as the growth of tumor xenografts, by inactivating phosphatidylinositol 3 kinase/protein kinase 3 (PI3K/AKT) and mitogen-activated protein kinase/extracellular regulated protein kinases (MAPK/ERK) signaling pathways. This evidence concerns the gene AKT1 and gastric cancer.
