SEMA5A and cancer: Semaphorin 3E (SEMA3E), Semaphorin 4D (SEMA4D) and Semaphorin 5 A (SEMA5A) have been reported to inhibit focal adhesion by promoting the disassembly of integrin and actin stress fibers on multiple different cell types including glia, platelets, different types of immune cells, and a number of cancer cell lines, as well as promoting proliferation and cell migration of endothelial cells89–92.
