Thirteen distinct immune cell types were identified in NSCLC tumors which altogether comprise >95% of all CD45+ leukocytes: CD4+ T cells, CD8+ T cells, DN T cells, B cells, macrophages, pDCs, CD1c+ mDCs, CD141+ mDCs, NK cells, neutrophils, basophils, eosinophils, and mast cells. The gene discussed is CD1C; the disease is non-small cell lung carcinoma.
