Based on proteomic data obtained from our previous experiments6 in combination with phosphoproteomic data, we identified four proteins (epoxide hydrolase 1, neuroblast differentiation-associated protein AHNAK-like, matrix metalloproteinase-9 precursor, stanniocalcin and lymphocyte-specific protein 1-like) that were significantly altered following infection. The gene discussed is EPHX1; the disease is infection.
