Naringenin (4’,5,7-trihydroxy avanone-7-rhamnoglucoside), which belongs to the flavanone class, is shown to attenuate the severity of colitis by inhibiting myeloid derived suppressor cells (MDDCs), pro-inflammatory mediators, and the NF-kB/IL-6/STAT-3 cascade in colorectal tissues [87].
