EIF5A1 is the major isoform which is abundantly expressed in most cells.8 EIF5A2 is expressed in few normal tissues but is overexpressed in tumour cells and even considered a candidate oncogene.21 Based on above, EIF5A2 is chosen as our research focus in the study instead of EIF5A1.
