In the multivariate Cox proportional hazards analysis after adjusting for age, sex, albumin, diabetes, hypertension, and history of CVD, the adjusted HR values were 0.40 (95%CI 0.17–0.90, P = 0.027) for higher FTI and 0.28 (95%CI 0.09–0.76, P = 0.011) for higher SMI (Table 2).
