Proinflammatory cytokines and chemokines are known NF-κB target genes (http://www.bu.edu/nf-kb/the-gilmore-lab/) and are involved in a wide variety of pathological and inflammatory conditions33 including rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, and glomerulonephritis45–47.
