SYK and acute myeloid leukemia: Widely expressed in hematopoietic cells [15,16], SYK is a promising therapeutic target in inflammatory diseases (including rheumatoid arthritis, allergies, systemic lupus erythematosus, and chronic immune thrombocytopenia) [17,18,19] as well as in different hematological malignancies such as CLL [10,20,21], non-Hodgkin lymphoma [22], and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) [23].
