When adjusting for cofounding factors, for a one-SD increase for each of the following variables, the odds ratio of having CHD vs. no CHD was 1.24 (95% CI, 1.07–1.48; p = 0.017) for HSPCs, 1.48 (95% CI, 1.23–1.79; p < 0.0001) for CRP, 1.22 (95% CI, 1.01–1.47; p = 0.043) for white blood cell count, 1.26 (95% CI, 1.05–1.53; p = 0.016) for neutrophil count and 1.33 (95% CI, 1.12–1.60; p = 0.002) for low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-c) (Table 3).
