As NFκB is known to promote the expression of a number of adhesion molecules, we looked at the effect of TRAF6 silencing on NFκB pathway activation in MM cells and on the expression of NFκB target genes, intracellular adhesion molecule 1 (ICAM1) and vascular cell adhesion molecule 1 (VCAM1). The gene discussed is ICAM1; the disease is Miyoshi myopathy.
