Our previous study showed that serum cholesterol and intrahepatic lipid levels were increased in mice with conditional ablation of mitogen-inducible gene 6 (Mig-6), an EGFR negative feedback inhibitor, in the liver [8], suggesting that EGFR is a possible target for the treatment of dyslipidemia and NAFLD. Here, EGFR is linked to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease.
