GRB2 and colorectal carcinoma: The role of miRNAs in regulating cancer progression has been fully investigated, including in OSCC.3, 4 The function of miR‐1258 has been reported in gastric cancer, liver cancer and breast cancer.5, 6, 7, 8 MiR‐1258 was down‐regulated in colorectal cancer (CRC) tissues and CRC cell lines, and up‐regulated miR‐1258 was proved to inhibit proliferation and arrest cell cycle at G0/G1 in vitro and vivo.9 MiR‐1258 suppresses tumour progression via GRB2/Ras/Erk pathway in non‐small‐cell lung cancer.10 These literatures suggested that miR‐1258 may function as a tumour suppressor.
