Xia‐Gibbs syndrome is a recently described genetic disorder caused by heterozygous mutations in the AHDC1 gene (Bosch et al., 2016; García‐Acero & Acosta, 2017; Jiang et al., 2018; Xia et al., 2014; Yang et al., 2015) which encodes an AT‐hook DNA‐binding motif‐containing protein 1(Reeves & Nissen, 1990). This evidence concerns the gene AHDC1 and hereditary disease.
