As SATB2 is a risk locus for schizophrenia [15,16] and genes regulated by SATB2 contribute to schizophrenia [37], we also tested if the adult SATB2 interactome was enriched for genes associated with schizophrenia and other major neuropsychiatric disorders (Autism Spectrum Disorder, Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Bipolar Disorder, and Major Depression Disorder) but no significant enrichments were detected (S7 Table). Here, SATB2 is linked to bipolar disorder.
